YSK Presbyopia Cataract

YSK “Presbyopia Cataract Surgery” is a customized presbyopia solution based on 30-years’ know-how and cataract surgery experience of YSK Eye Clinic.

Presbyopia cataract surgery to solve both presbyopia and cataract at once

This is a surgical method of performing cataract surgery and correcting presbyopia at the same time by removing the opaque lens due to cataract and inserting a multifocal intraocular lens in that position instead. A typical monofocal intraocular lens has one focal length, but if you focus on a long distance, your near vision decreases, which may require use of a magnifying glass after surgery. However, when a multifocal intraocular lens is implanted, you can see well at long, intermediate, and near distances. At this time, it is important to perform the surgery by selecting the most suitable lens based on the results of the thorough medical checkup, considering the occupational characteristics, lifestyle, and presence of eye disease.
